Safety comes before capacity modelling
If there is fire, smoke, unusual heat, hissing, a damaged or submerged vehicle, damaged charging equipment, a shock or tingle, exposed live parts or water near electrical equipment, keep people away and do not touch or attempt repairs. Call Triple Zero (000) for fire or immediate danger and follow Fire and Rescue NSW or other emergency-service instructions.
What the toolkit calculates
- Current and 24-month resident interest as a percentage of parking spaces
- Maximum connected charger load and a managed-load screen using a disclosed diversity factor
- Declared spare capacity from user-entered main-supply and measured peak-demand values
- An 80% conservative capacity margin, capacity gap and high, medium or low confidence grade
- A controlled individual, shared, modular backbone or whole-building managed pathway
- A readiness score, statutory decision checklist, evidence list and seven-page PDF committee brief
NSW approval and governance preparation
The committee decision should address infrastructure and operating cost, ownership, installation, maintenance, availability to lots, common-property works, billing, metering, access and cost recovery. The toolkit organises these questions but does not determine the resolution, draft a by-law or provide legal advice.

The current NSW EV Ready Buildings page states that the available funding allocation has been reached. The tool does not assume a grant, tariff, capital cost or savings outcome.
Does the toolkit confirm that EV chargers can be installed?
No. It is an online screening model. Electrical and engineering review must verify the building-specific capacity, protection, routes and constraints.
Does the toolkit assume a NSW strata EV grant is available?
No. The current NSW Government page states that the available EV Ready Buildings funding allocation has been reached.
