Commercial interval-data pre-feasibility tool
Commercial BESS Business-Case Calculator
Upload NEM12 or interval CSV data, or use disclosed annual inputs, to screen demand management, energy shifting, visible incentives, simple payback, NPV and procurement readiness.
What the calculator models
- 5, 15 or 30-minute interval consumption, solar export, maximum demand and data quality
- User-entered energy, export and demand tariffs with no hidden typical rate
- Battery usable energy, power, round-trip efficiency, operating cost, degradation and financial assumptions
- Demand-management and energy-shifting value without counting the same battery capacity twice
- Commonwealth STC count/value and NSW BESS4/BESS5 evidence screening under current rules
- Conservative, base and upside NPV sensitivity plus a seven-page procurement brief
Evidence and reliance boundary
Raw interval files are parsed for the requested report and are not persisted. Results are excluding GST and rely on user-entered tariffs, costs and incentive values. PDRS value remains zero unless the user enters a written Accredited Certificate Provider estimate.
The output is an indicative pre-feasibility screen, not an engineering design, network approval, incentive entitlement, finance offer, tax advice or investment-grade business case.
Can I analyse NEM12 data?
Yes. The calculator recognises NEM12 200 and 300 records with 5, 15 or 30-minute kWh intervals, as well as a simple timestamp/import-kWh CSV.
Does the calculator confirm BESS4 or BESS5 eligibility?
No. It provides a preliminary rule screen. Current eligibility, certificate creation and the amount passed through require confirmation by an appropriate Accredited Certificate Provider.
